Every detail has been conceived to deliver a responsive and natural experience for the player. All‑mesh drumheads have adjustable tension; the 360‑degree cymbals are free to move and respond like acoustic cymbals, and the hi‑hat is laser‑accurate and plays naturally with any hi‑hat stand or hi‑hat technique.
Together, they create the kind of expressive feeling that you should expect from a meticulously crafted instrument. However, under the hood, there is a truly state‑of the‑art sound engine that places a vast and detailed library of beautifully recorded drum kits.

The Strata Prime electronic drum set is Alesis’s most advanced and playable kit yet, boasting an extensive 6-piece drum pad configuration with four accompanying cymbal pads for fantastic versatility. Shallow shells plus a full-size bass drum create a maneuverable yet authoritative feel when commanding the Strata Prime, while its tunable, dual-zone, and mesh-headed engineering plays with impeccable realism and responds with natural rebound, giving seasoned percussionists an at-home feel behind the kit. The brain of the Strata Prime is the massive touchscreen Prime module, driven by a powerful BFD sound engine containing 75 preset kits, 440 sounds, and all the customization freedom for drummers to design and save their creations. Complete with mounts and an expansive curved rack system, the Strata Prime is outfitted to take electronic drumming to a whole new level!

Drums
Strata Prime comprises six drums with all-mesh heads. Starting with a dual-zone 14” snare drum, with independent sounds triggered on the head, rim click, and rim shot, followed by 8” / 10” / 12” / 14” toms and of course a 20”kick drum which provides a comfortable playing surface while being suitable for all varieties of single and double kick drum pedals.

PLEASE NOTE: Kick pedal sold separately. The tension can be adjusted on all six mesh heads so you can set the exact level of rebound and expressiveness to your preference – and unnatural ‘hotspots’ on the heads are eliminated by Alesis’ unique patented anti-hotspot sensor design*.

Cymbals
The Strata Prime’s ARC cymbals are supremely sensitive with a beautifully lathed surface. All three cymbals, the 18” ride, and two 16” crashes, are triple-zone; with different sounds triggered on the bell, bow, and edge of each cymbal.

They are all 360-degree responsive, so not only can you play anywhere throughout the cymbal, but they mount on standard acoustic arm mounts, allowing them to respond and swing naturally, without restrictions. The crash and ride cymbals and hi-hats have dual-edge sensors* and profiles that allow incredible expressiveness without having to adjust your technique.

Precision Hi-hat
The 14” hi-hat is the world’s first Active Magnetic, stand mounted controller. PLEASE NOTE: Hi-hat stand sold separately. Like the cymbals, it’s a triple-zoned 360-degree playing surface which is extremely sensitive.

Magnetic position sensing ensures that pedal movements are translated with extraordinarily high resolution; meaning the contactless controller is unmatched in its accuracy.
The unit can be used with a wide variety of hi-hat stands and playing techniques. Its active technology is powered directly from the Prime Drum Module; no extra power adapter required.

Ultra-lifelike pads and cymbals
Each pad within the Strata Prime electronic drum kit is designed with mesh heads and dual-zone playability. Mesh rebounds with much greater natural response than its rubber drum pad counterparts, effortlessly mimicking the response of a Mylar-equipped acoustic drum but at a mere fraction of the sound. The dual zones offer a dimensionality that plays just like the different parts of your tom or snare would, so transitioning from acoustic to the Strata Prime is a cinch. The six shells are 8-inch, 10-inch, 12-inch, and 14-inch toms with a 14-inch snare and 20-inch kick drum.

The included cymbals also play with an exciting degree of realism. With 3-zone designs and 360-degree triggering, both the ride and crash cymbals react with impressive bell and bow sounds, attacking with presence and washing with true musical complexity. The hi-hat cymbal pad fits perfectly atop its magnetic controller for detailed patterning that offers total real-world rhythmic accuracy. The included cymbals are two 16-inch crashes, an 18-inch crash/ride, and a 14-inch hi-hat. All pieces of the cymbal and shell puzzle attach with ease to the included 4-post steel rack system with locking clamps.

With 440 kit pieces to work with, an additional 1,092 articulations for customizing, and a near-endless number of user kit slots, you can craft and save countless drum kits and percussion arrays that all speak your language. That’s 40GB of provided sounds with a total of 128GB of included storage, and it’s all thanks to Alesis’s stellar BFD sound engine and multi-core processor. Plus,Players love the revitalized and customizable trigger engine that uses automatic crosstalk filtering for clean hits every time.

The Prime module also boasts a massive 10.1-inch touchscreen display for easy navigability, with comprehensive dial controls and buttons to provide a totally intuitive user experience. A 3-way volume control levels the kit, your auxiliary music input, and your headphones separately for a balanced experience on your terms while also supplying individual 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch headphone inputs to work with your setup.
