The standout tone of the PRS SE Mira comes from a pair of PRS-designed 85/15 “S” humbuckers. Wound to emulate the unique tone of the Paul’s ’85 pickups, the 85/15 “S” pickups produce a transparent tone that breaks up well in high-gain situations. When you dial the volume back, they clean up and produce a sweet, balanced tone that’s ideal for indie rockers. Want a little more bite on the high end? Instead of picking up a different guitar for a single-coil sound, the Mira’s master tone control is a push-pull pot for coil splitting.
