The Shawn Mendes Foundation Musicmaster is a unique combination of exquisite vintage art and classic Fender tone. Adorned with a fan’s rendition of a striking floral design, this highly personal take on the popular 60s short-scale model features an alder body, “C”-shaped maple neck with 9.5” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and a unique single/hum pickup configuration, providing a wide range of Fender tones.

Solid Construction
A trusted tonewood combination has been used to construct the Shawn Mendes Signature Musicmaster. The pairing of an Alder body with a Maple neck ensures a balanced sound with plenty of mid-range attack and high-end clarity – ideal for vibrant chords and catchy lead lines.

Short-Scale Design
The Fender Musicmaster was originally designed as a student guitar. Boasting a short 24″ scale that brings its frets closer together for forgiving finger stretches, this smaller scale also reduces string tension and allows you to bend the guitar’s strings more easily.

Versatile Pickup Configuration
Fender’s Shawn Mendes Signature Musicmaster sports a flexible single-coil/humbucker pickup configuration that gives you a wide palette of tones. The Tex-Mex bridge single-coil provides you with a spanky Strat-like sound, especially with its angled mounting position, whereas the Player Series Alnico 2 humbucker in the neck delivers a thick tone that’s perfect for warm-sounding chords.

The control layout is a simple affair, with master volume and master tone knobs giving you direct authority when it comes to shaping your sound. However, the tone knob features a push/pull function that allows you to split the neck humbucker for a single-coil sound – essentially giving you a Telecaster-esque pickup configuration!
